David Mollel, an accomplished agricultural operations, procurement, and supply chain expert, brings extensive management skills to his role as an Assistant Lecturer at Moshi Cooperative University (MoCU) in the Department of Procurement and Supply Chain Management. With a robust professional background, he played a crucial role in post-merger operations between Dorman and ECOM in 2017/2018, assuming the position of Country Head for two ECOM entities in Tanzania. During his tenure at ECOM (Tutunze Kahawa Limited, Mawenzi Coffee Export, and Dorman Tanzania), he effectively managed various facets of Tanzania’s coffee supply chain, resulting in a notable increase in export operations. Later, at Kijani Hai Tanzania Limited, a CTCS entity, he directed the establishment of export and field operations, contributing significantly to the company’s operational growth. David’s expertise also encompasses sustainability projects and Arabica Coffee sourcing, evident in his involvement in establishing Kahawa Pamoja Tanzania Limited, a new entity in collaboration with Touton SA. Since November 2022, he has been actively engaged in academia at MoCU, not only imparting knowledge in supply chain management but also serving as the coordinator for the Master of Art in Procurement and Supply Management. Furthermore, he participates in diverse projects, including “Leadership for Change – under WE EFFECT,” curriculum review within the “Higher Education and Economic Transformation (HEET)” initiative, and internal auditing for procurement operations at the university, underscoring his dedication to academic excellence and industry advancement..
