Welcome to the Department of Marketing, Procurement and Supply Management. The Department is one among the five departments in the Faculty of Business and Information Sciences (FBIS). Since its establishment, the Department has become a source of qualified, skilled and resourceful marketing as well as procurement graduates. Equipped with competent and renowned Lecturers the department has done a number of research projects and consultancy projects relating to marketing and public procurement. Currently the department has 16 members of academic staff constituting one professor, two senior lecturers, 10 lecturers and three assistant lecturers. Plans are underway to recruit more members of staff in order to increase the workforce and efficiency.
The Department is continually striving to excel in teaching, research and consultancy which are going to be achieved through focusing at staff training so as to acquire the highest academic qualifications, seeking and executing research projects, undertaking consultancy projects as well as cooperating with other national and international institutions and associations both academic and non-academic. The farfetched goal is to become the best provider of marketing education and procurement education as well in the country and thereby producing graduates with competence paramount for solving society problems and contribute towards building the nation’s economy and the world at large.
