On October 27, 2025, delegates from the Catholic University of Mozambique (UCM) under the Regional Co-operative Development Project (REGCOOP) visited the Uru North Joint Enterprise Co-operative Society Ltd. to gain insights into the co-operative’s operations and ongoing development initiatives.

The visit provided an opportunity for the delegates to learn from MoCU’s collaborative efforts with local co-operatives, particularly in promoting best practices in governance, value addition, and member participation.

Through this engagement, participants explored practical approaches to co-operative management and community development that can be replicated across similar institutions in Mozambique and the wider region.

This field activity forms part of the continued partnership between MoCU and UCM under the REGCOOP Project, aimed at enhancing co-operative education, research, and capacity building across East and Southern Africa.
