MoCU Concludes PUVU Training for AMCOS Managers and Accountants

On October 24, 2025Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) held a closing ceremony for the 14-day training program on Bookkeeping and Financial Records Management (PUVU) for managers and accountants from Agricultural Marketing Co-operative Societies (AMCOS) in Ruangwa, Nachingwea, and Liwale.

The training, conducted from October 10 to 24, 2025, was organized by MoCU in collaboration with the Lindi Regional Co-operative Education Committee (KEUM). A total of 130 participants (127 men and 3 women) from 108 AMCOS under the RUNALI Co-operative Union Ltd successfully completed the training, which aimed to strengthen financial accountability and management skills among cooperative personnel.

The Guest of Honour, Hon. Hassan Ngoma, District Commissioner of Ruangwa, commended the initiative for enhancing professionalism and transparency in cooperative operations.

The ceremony was graced by several leaders, including Prof. Alfred Sife, Vice Chancellor of MoCU; Dr. Victor Shirima, Director of the Institute of Continuing Co-operative Education; the Director of Training and Research from TCDC; the Representative of the Lindi Regional Administrative Secretary; the District Executive Director of Ruangwa; District Agricultural Officers from Ruangwa, Nachingwea, and Liwale; and the Chairperson of RUNALI Co-operative Union Ltd.

This milestone underscores MoCU’s continued commitment to strengthening cooperative capacity and promoting effective financial management for sustainable development.
