Description:
On Thursday, January 29, 2026 Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), in collaboration with the Society for Ecological and Leisure Activities (ZOJA)—a non-governmental organization based in Slovenia—the Lesotho Ministry of Education and Training, and partner NGOs from four African countries, is implementing the GREENOVATE Project.

The project aims to empower young people in Sub-Saharan Africa to become leaders in green entrepreneurship and sustainable development, contributing to inclusive economic growth and environmental sustainability.

The 32-month project was officially launched during a kick-off meeting held in Maseru, Lesotho, from 19 to 23 January 2026. MoCU was represented at the meeting by Dr. Happy Joseph, the GREENOVATE Project Coordinator at MoCU, and Prof. George Matto, Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies.

The GREENOVATE Project is coordinated by ZOJA, under the leadership of its President, Mr. Miran Kojc, and reflects MoCU’s continued commitment to international collaboration, youth empowerment, and sustainable development initiatives.
