MoCU Strengthens Partnership with UCM through REGCOOP Project

On October 25, 2025, a delegation from the Catholic University of Mozambique (UCM) under the Regional Co-operative Development Project (REGCOOP) visited the Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) for a knowledge-sharing and partnership enhancement session.

The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions in the implementation of the REGCOOP project, with a particular focus on the development of co-operative training curricula and advancement of co-operative education across the region.

During the visit, the delegation received comprehensive presentations on MoCU’s mandate and institutional functions, including an overview from the Institute of Continuing Co-operative Education (ICCE) on how it delivers co-operative education to stakeholders within and beyond Tanzania.

The team also engaged with the Directorate of Library Services, where they learned about documentation, archival practices, and information management systems. Additionally, the visitors toured the Wazalendo SACCOS, gaining practical insights into the governance and financial operations of co-operative societies.

This visit further reinforces the long-standing collaboration between MoCU and UCM, showcasing a shared commitment to building strong, innovative, and sustainable co-operative education frameworks under the REGCOOP project.
