On December 18, 2025, the Vice Chancellor of Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), Prof. Alfred Sife, handed over laptops to selected University staff as part of an ongoing initiative to procure office equipment aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery.
The handover took place at the Main Campus in Moshi during a meeting of Deans of Faculties and Directors, which focused on various issues related to the administrative and academic welfare of the University.
Prior to the handover, Prof. Sife expressed confidence that the provision of these devices would significantly enhance staff productivity and overall job performance. He emphasized the importance of proper care and responsible use of the equipment to ensure long-term benefits, especially in an era of rapid technological advancement.
He further noted that the University will continue to strengthen its ICT infrastructure by ensuring reliable internet connectivity and procuring additional office equipment, including photocopiers, printers, and projectors, based on institutional needs. The distribution of laptops, he added, will be carried out in phases according to identified requirements.
This initiative reflects MoCU’s commitment to creating a supportive working environment that enables staff to effectively carry out their daily responsibilities and advance the University’s academic and administrative goals.
