Meliyo Kilimbei Kilaye is a Tanzanian academic, marketing professional, and business management specialist. He currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer in Marketing and Business Studies at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) in Tanzania. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management (MBM) from Moshi Co-operative University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management (Marketing) from Mwenge Catholic University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Account and Finance (PGD-AF) from Moshi Co-operative University. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha. He is recognized for his expertise in marketing, business strategy, entrepreneurship, and cooperative development, with a strong focus on linking academic knowledge to practical community and organizational development. His professional experience spans teaching, research, administration, and industry practice, including roles in higher learning institutions and private sector management. His recent academic and research interests focus on marketing strategies for socio-economic development, cooperative marketing systems, entrepreneurship development, and the role of business in improving community livelihoods. He has contributed to teaching, student supervision, and research activities that support both academic advancement and real-world problem solving. Beyond academia, he has held leadership and administrative roles, including serving as a branch manager and participating in institutional governance and student leadership at national level. He is actively involved in community engagement initiatives, promoting entrepreneurship, ethical business practices, and cooperative development.
