Overview

Welcome to the Faculty of Business and Information Sciences (FBIS) webpage at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU). As a vital and progressive part of MoCU, which was established under the University Charter of 2014, FBIS has undergone significant growth and development. Originally founded with just two departments, the faculty has expanded to include seven diverse and dynamic departments. This expansion is a direct response to the increasing demand for highly skilled and competitive professionals in both the local and global job markets. Moreover, it demonstrates MoCU’s commitment to fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and self-employment among students.

Today, FBIS is home to nearly 5500 students who are actively engaged in a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. These programs are offered across our broad range of departments, each designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary for success in their careers. Our dedicated faculty is supported by a team of 101 academic staff members who bring diverse expertise and passion to the lecture rooms. Additionally, seven administrative staff members work tirelessly to ensure the smooth operation of the faculty and to provide essential support services to both students and faculty. Together, this team is committed to offering a comprehensive educational experience that not only prepares students for the demands of the job market but also nurtures critical thinking, innovation, and leadership.
