On May 5, 2025, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), Prof. Gervas Machimu, officially opened a five-day training program for board members of the Tandahimba and Newala Co-operative Union (TANECU LTD), held in the Mtwara region.
The training aims to enhance participants’ capacity in managing and overseeing co-operative societies. It covers key areas including leadership and management, co-operative philosophy, principles and ethics, relevant co-operative laws and regulations, inclusive and integrated co-operative models, commercial operations in co-operative societies, procurement, and investment project management.
This initiative underscores MoCU’s commitment to strengthening co-operative governance and supporting sustainable development through high-quality training and capacity-building programs.
