On June 23, 2025, academic staff from various universities and research institutions received training on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to accelerate and improve educational outcomes and research development.

The training, held at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), brought together participants from institutions including MoCU, UDSM, SUA, and Tumaini University Makumira.

The programme was coordinated by the Tanzania Education and Research Network (TERNET) in collaboration with participating institutions, underscoring the growing role of AI in transforming higher education and knowledge generation in Tanzania.
