On June 27, 2025, Dr. Nathaniel Towo, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), officially presented certificates to academic staff from universities and research institutions upon completing a five-day training on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in advancing education and institutional development.

The training, which brought together participants from MoCU, UDSM, SUA, and Tumaini University Makumira, was held at MoCU and coordinated in partnership with the Tanzania Education and Research Network.

This initiative highlights the growing role of AI in enhancing academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration across Tanzania’s higher education sector.
