On September 16, The Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project, implemented by the Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has reached 74.3% implementation nationwide.

This was revealed by the National Project Coordinator, Dr. Kenneth Hosea, during the opening of the HEET Coordinators’ Meeting, held at the University of Dar es Salaam Library from October 15–19, 2025.

Dr. Hosea emphasized that the Sixth Phase Government, under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has made significant investments to ensure the project brings transformative changes in higher education. He urged beneficiary institutions to ensure timely completion of activities.

The MoCU team, as one of the beneficiaries, is actively participating in the meeting under the leadership of its Coordinator, Prof. Fredy Kilima.
