On Saturday, January 24, 2026, The Vice Chancellor of Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), Prof. Alfred Sife, served as the Guest of Honour during a friendly football match that brought together MoCU Staff and leaders of the MoCU Students’ Organisation (MoCUSO).

The match was witnessed by members of the University management, staff, and students from various academic programmes. Prior to kick-off, Prof. Sife inspected the teams, greeted the players from both sides, and officially opened the match by taking a ceremonial penalty.

The friendly encounter concluded with the MoCU Staff team securing a 3–1 victory over the MoCUSO team.
