On Sunday, March 22, 2026 Leaders and staff from Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) participated in the Kilimanjaro Marathon 2026, held on 22 March 2026 at the University’s sports grounds, Ushirika Stadium, in Moshi.

Among the participants was the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Alfred Sife, who took part in the 21-kilometre race. Also in attendance was the Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Adolf Mkenda.

The event, which brought together participants from over 60 countries, was officiated by the Minister for Information, Sports and Culture, Hon. Paul Makonda, as the Guest of Honour.

MoCU leaders and staff participated in various race categories, including 42 km, 21 km, and 5 km, demonstrating the University’s commitment to promoting health, teamwork, and active engagement in community and international events.
