MoCU Planning and Finance Committee Holds Strategic Meeting on University Development

Members of the Planning and Finance Committee of the Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) reviewed and discussed various reports on the University’s operations and development during a meeting held on 26 June 2026 at the Council Conference Hall, Main Campus, Moshi.

The meeting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson, H.E. Ambassador Maimuna Kibenga Tarishi.

During the meeting, members deliberated on a range of agenda items, including the University’s income and expenditure, the implementation of the procurement plan, the progress of ongoing construction and renovation projects, and other strategic matters aimed at enhancing the institution’s performance and sustainable development.

The Committee also visited the ongoing construction project of the University Library building to assess the progress made. Once completed, the new library is expected to significantly improve the teaching, learning, and research environment for students, staff, and other University stakeholders.
