MULTIPURPOSE ACADEMIC BUILDING: REVOLUTIONIZING LEARNING INFRASTRUCTURE AT MoCU THROUGH THE HEET PROJECT

Description

The Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) has made a major stride in improving the higher education environment following the completion of the Multipurpose Academic Building, constructed through the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project, which is implemented by the Government through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and funded by the World Bank.

The building, located at the Moshi main campus, has increased MoCU’s capacity to deliver academic services by featuring two large lecture theatres capable of accommodating 600 students at a time, four lecture rooms that can hold 400 students, as well as three seminar rooms with the capacity to serve 150 students at a time.

Additionally, the building houses 13 staff offices, a Business Innovation Incubator Center capable of serving 34 users at a time, a computer laboratory with a capacity of 40 simultaneous users, and a dedicated lactation room aimed at providing a friendly and inclusive environment for users.
