The Steering Committee of the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) has commended the Project Implementation Management Committee and the University Management for successfully completing the project efficiently and on schedule.

The commendations were made today, August 14, 2026, during a meeting of the Committee held at the Main Campus in Moshi and chaired by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Safari.

During the meeting, members also had the opportunity to discuss various reports related to the implementation of the project at the Main Campus in Moshi and KICoB-Shinyanga. The discussions focused on assessing the progress of the project, challenges encountered, and strategies put in place to ensure its successful and timely completion.

Following the meeting, Committee members visited the ICT Multi-Purpose Building, which was constructed through funding from the HEET Project. During the visit, they inspected the building, its infrastructure, and various furnishings installed for use.

The Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project is being implemented by the Government through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, with the aim of strengthening higher education in Tanzania by improving learning and teaching infrastructure, as well as academic programmes, to align them with current labour market demands and economic development needs.
