Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), Ruvuma Regional Office, in collaboration with the Ruvuma Regional Cooperative Development Education Committee (KAMEURU) and Tunduru Cooperative Union (TAMCU LTD), has taken an important step toward strengthening accounting and bookkeeping practices in Primary Cooperative Societies in Tunduru District.

As part of this initiative, MoCU, KAMEURU and TAMCU LTD held a preparatory working session for a special training camp on the Cooperative Societies Bookkeeping Programme (PUVU) and agreed to conduct the camp in mid-September 2026 in Tunduru Town.

The training camp aims to equip AMCOS staff with practical knowledge and skills in proper bookkeeping, financial record keeping, transparency, accountability, and effective management of cooperative resources.

The programme is expected to benefit more than 80 AMCOS staff under the supervision of TAMCU LTD, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity, governance, financial management, and sustainability of cooperative societies in the region.
