Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), through its Ruvuma Regional Office, has empowered members of WINO Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (SACCOS), based in Madaba, Ruvuma Region, to reflect on the origins, growth, and future prospects of their cooperative since its establishment in 1992. The initiative aimed to strengthen members’ understanding of the fundamental principles of savings and credit cooperatives.

Through the training, members had an opportunity to review the journey of their cooperative, assess the achievements made so far, and discuss its future direction while recognising their roles and responsibilities in contributing to its growth and development.

Members were encouraged to strengthen unity, promote a strong savings culture, and uphold accountability and integrity in the cooperative’s operations. These values are essential in building a strong, sustainable, and productive WINO SACCOS that benefits both its members and the wider community.
