Program Overview

This is a one-year programme aims to educate and train students in Information Technology to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to private institutions, and government and non-governmental institutions within and outside the country.

Specific Objectives

The specific objectives are to:

  • Enable students to appreciate the role of information technology in social and economic development.
  • Develop the ability to analyze IT applications and design solutions for organizational and technical challenges requiring IT support.
  • Prepare students to become experts in IT services.
  • Enable students to effectively manage IT resources in business applications.
  • Develop the ability to critically evaluate IT and its relevance within organizational contexts.

General Entry Requirements

  • Entry arrangement for successful participation in this programme shall depend on possession of requisite entry requirements.
  • Direct entry: NQF: Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four passes at D grade or above in the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Agriculture, History, Civics, English, Commerce, Book-Keeping, Engineering Science, Building Construction, Architectural Draughting, Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering Science, Electrical Draughting, Workshop Technology, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Mechanical Draughting
