MASTER PLAN STAKEHOLDER SESSION CHAIRED BY MOCU AND IRDP LEADERS

Description

The session was chaired by Prof. Baltazar Namwata and Mr. Japhet Mgema from MoCU, together with Dr. Sarwatt from IRDP. Participants held in-depth discussions on the existing opportunities, the challenges facing the cooperative sector, as well as strategies for strengthening and developing cooperatives in the country.

During the discussions, participants emphasized the importance of involving various stakeholders in the process of preparing the Master Plan, to ensure that the plan reflects the actual situation, responds to the needs of the sector, and sets a clear direction for the sustainable development of cooperatives in the country.

The views, recommendations, and information gathered are expected to make an important contribution to the preparation of the Tanzania Cooperative Development Master Plan, which is intended to serve as a strategic guide for the development and transformation of the cooperative sector over the next 25 years.
