Monitoring the utilisation of resources and the implementation of development projects was given priority during a meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee of Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), held today, Thursday, 24 September 2026, under the chairmanship of Hon. Ambassador Mainuma Tarishi.

Among the key agenda items discussed during the meeting were reports on revenue and expenditure, implementation of the Procurement Plan, implementation of the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project, as well as progress on construction and renovation projects.

As part of efforts to strengthen the monitoring of development projects, the Committee also visited the ongoing construction of the University Library building to assess the progress made and receive updates on the implementation of the project. The construction of the Library building is part of MoCU’s efforts to strengthen academic infrastructure and enhance the learning, teaching, and research environment for staff, students, and other University stakeholders.
