MoCU PARTICIPATES IN INITIATIVE TO STRENGTHEN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT IN NAMTUMBO DISTRICT AMCOS

The Ruvuma Regional Cooperative Development Education Committee (KAMEURU) has held a working session in collaboration with SONAMCU and AMCOS from Namtumbo District as part of preparations for the Special Camp of the Cooperative Accounting Books Writing Programme (PUVU).

The session focused on developing strategies and making the necessary preparations for the implementation of the programme, which aims to strengthen accounting capacity and financial management practices within Cooperative Societies.

Through the programme, Moshi Cooperative University (MoCU) is expected to provide training designed to equip leaders and staff of Cooperative Societies with enhanced skills in financial record-keeping, accounting books preparation, and the preparation of accurate financial reports.

The initiative aims to promote accountability, transparency, and efficiency in the management of Cooperative Societies’ resources, while strengthening the foundations for sustainable operations and effective performance.

The programme forms part of broader efforts to enhance the capacity of Cooperative Societies in managing their financial and operational activities effectively and sustainably.
