On Friday, May 01, 2026 Staff from Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) joined workers from various institutions across the Kilimanjaro Region in commemorating International Workers’ Day , held on 1st May 2026 at Ushirika Stadium, Moshi.

The regional event was officiated by the Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner, Hon. Nurdin Babu, who received the workers’ parade and addressed participants, emphasizing the importance of accountability, workplace discipline, and solidarity in achieving institutional goals and broader socio-economic development.

This year’s celebrations were guided by the theme: “Decent Work is a Strong Pillar for Sustainable Development in Realising the National Vision 2050.”

MoCU’s participation reflects its continued commitment to promoting professionalism, unity, and active engagement in national and community development initiatives.
