It is a pleasure to welcome you to Kigoma Regional Office (KRC) of the Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU). It started in 1964 as a Cooperative Education Center serving Kigoma region. KRC is among the 13 regional offices of MoCU spread all over the country and is located at Majengo Area, Kigoma – Ujiji Municipal. It provides distance learning programmes for stakeholders in co-operatives and their supporting institutions ranging from short-term programmes (less than 6 months), certificate level programmes and Postgraduate Diploma programmes. Its key areas of competencies include but not limited to; Formation and transformation of co-operatives and economic groups; Co-operative management and governance; Community resource management; Participatory development planning; Gender and Youth issues in development; Preparing business and strategic plans; Innovation management; Impact evaluation; Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL); Co-operative accounting and Financial management; Entrepreneurship & small business management; Organizational capacity assessment (OCA); TNA; Risk analysis and management; Human resource management; Warehouse Receipt Systems (WHRS); Performance assessment of farmers’ organizations; Stakeholders’ mapping and analysis; Value chain mapping and analysis; Co-operative marketing; Market systems and stakeholders’ relations; Farmers profiling and financial literacy; Food systems approach (FSA) and Sustainable investments in agriculture.
