Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), through the Institute of Continuing Co-operative Education (ICCE), has conducted an orientation training for new Regional Programme Coordinators (REPCOs) to enhance their understanding of their roles and best execution practices across regional offices to advance the University’s goals.
The two-day training, taking place at the main campus in Moshi, was officially opened today, August 20, 2026, by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fredy Kilima.
Opening the training, Prof. Kilima congratulated and welcomed the new REPCOs to the MoCU community, emphasizing the need for collaboration in carrying out their duties. He noted that their position requires close engagement with various co-operative sector stakeholders, making strong working relationships essential.
“You are expected to collaborate and build good relationships with stakeholders to contribute to the efficiency of various co-operative development activities. You must also maintain good conduct, accountability, and strong personal character in your daily duties,” he stated.
Furthermore, Prof. Kilima urged the REPCOs to work diligently, demonstrate self-leadership, and effectively utilize their skills and expertise at their respective duty stations.
Led by Mr. Marwa Kesanta, Head of the Department of Extension and Community Services, the training aims to equip the REPCOs with a solid understanding of the responsibilities executed by the University across its 13 regional offices nationwide.
