Prof. Yusuph J. Kulindwa is an Associate Professor at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU). He is currently on a one-year sabbatical at the University of Lusaka in Zambia. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from a collaborative Ph.D. program at Dar es Salaam University, Tanzania, and Chalmers University, Sweden, in November 2017. His research focuses on Resource Economics, Energy Economics, Environmental impact assessment research, Business marketing research and Behavioral Economics and Impact evaluation studies. He is a team member and coordinator in the Pedagogy result area at MoCU in the Sustainable Employability through Innovative Pedagogy of Higher Education Institutions project, supported by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs 2020-204. Prof. Kulindwa has experience in international research projects, including working with Professor Saudamini Das of Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi India on the impact of externally funded climate adaptation projects on women’s empowerment, a funded project by Sida Sarec, as Co-PI in 2022-2024. Prof. Kulindwa has involved in the project, namely, Higher Education Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation through Socio-technical Transition, funded by the ministry for foreign affairs of Finland in in 2020-2024. Currently working with Professor Kosenius, Anna-Kaisa of University of Helsinki on Valuation and willingness to participate in mangroves restoration: A choice experiment on a gender perspective in Tanzania. He is also working with Prof. Erik Ahlgren on a large consortium application for the MSCA Doctoral Network project (EU funding) focused on green transitions in urban peripheries and urbanizing rural areas in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). He has published widely on environmental economics, business marketing research, energy economics and sustainable resource management. His experience includes teaching and supervising research work for students. He is a research fellow of the EfD-Tanzania. He also serves as an internal and External Masters and Ph.D. examiner at the University of Johannesburg, Mzumbe University and Moshi Cooperative University, as well as and peer reviewer of the journals called Energy Efficiency– Springer, Scientific Reports-nature, Discover Agriculture- Springer nature, Discover Sustainability- Springer nature, Human Ecology- Springer nature, Modern Finance journal, African J. of Economic and Sustainable Development – Inderscience, and Clean Energy, Applied Economics Letters – Taylor &Francis, Journal of Primary Care and Community Health-SAGE, and Sustainability– sciepublish.com.
