Certificate in Law (CL)

This is a one (1) year programme designed to provide a thorough basic training in law. The programme seeks to prepare law conscious and abiding citizens who are also able to settle grassroots community disputes and address violations of fundamental rights. The programme exposes its students to laws and the system of laws applied in Tanzania imparting basic knowledge on the making, interpreting and execution of the laws.

An applicant may be admitted to the programme if he/she has obtained a certificate of secondary education examination (CSEE) or equivalent with passes in at least four (4) subjects including English language. Alternatively, admission may be offered to an applicant with an average of 3.0 G.PA in foundation course obtained from the Open University of Tanzania.
