Mr. Didas M. Mahende is a Tutorial Assistant at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) and teaches co-operative courses under the Department of Co-operative Development and Management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Co-operative Management and Accounting from Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU).

Mahende before being employed at MoCU, worked for more than 11 years with Musoma District Council (2012 – 2014) and Butiama District Council (2015 – 2021) as Assistant Cooperative Officer. When working with the Butiama District Council, Mr. Mahende once acted in the position of Head of the Co-operative Unit which was responsible for managing co-operative societies; also, he was part of the coordinating team for various consultancies undertaken by international and local consultants for promoting co-operative development. Mr. Mahende with his current status continued to undertake various consultancy assignments on co-operatives.
