Diploma in Co-operative Management and Accounting (DCMA)

This is a full-time and two-year programme designed to train students to deal with co-operative management technical issues in the local and national competitive business environment. Students in this programme are prepared to take up some managerial, promotional and accounting positions in Co-operative, Community Development, Government, and Non-governmental establishments. Generally, graduates from the programme will become Co-operative facilitators and Accountants at intermediate level and use their knowledge and skills to address the local and regional professional requirements on practices of Co-operative enterprises.

The candidate wishing to join this programme should meet one of the following requirements:

  • Direct entry: NQF Level 5 (Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education) with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary in principal subjects.
  • Equivalent entry: UQF level 4 and NTA level 4 (Certificates) that are relevant to the programme. Applicants with UQF level 4 and NTA Level 4 should have at least four passes in non-religious subjects at the Ordinary level (NQF level 4) including English and Mathematics.
