Welcome to the Department of Marketing and Enterprise Management. The Department is one among the seven departments in the Faculty of Business and Information Sciences (FBIS). Over its course of its establishment, the Department has produced competent, skilled and resourceful marketing as well as entrepreneurship graduates. Endowed with competent and reputable lecturers the department has done a number of research projects and consultancy projects relating to marketing and entrepreneurship. Currently the department has 13 members of academic staff constituting one professor, two senior lecturers, 5 lecturers, four assistant lecturers and one tutorial assistant. There are continuous initiatives to employ more members of staff in order to increase the workforce and efficiency.

The Department is continually striving to excel in teaching, research, consultancy and community services which are going to be achieved through staff training so as to increase the highest level of academic competencies, seeking and executing research projects, undertaking consultancy projects as well as cooperating with other national and international academic and non-academic institutions and associations. The ultimate goal is to become the best provider of marketing and entrepreneurial education in the country as well as African continent, thus, producing graduates with competence paramount for solving unemployment problems while serving the ever-increasing demands of customers. This will have a significant contribution in building the nation’s economy and the world at large.

The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, part of the Faculty of Business and Information Sciences, was established in October 2022 emanating from the department of Marketing, Procurement and Supply Management. It specializes in teaching, research, consultancy and community services for marketing and entrepreneurship management and offers undergraduate and postgraduate’s programs. Its graduates have remarkable reputation of work efficiency in the areas of customer service management, marketing research, business enterprise management, corporate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial orientation to self-employed enterprises.
